What's not covered
Cash payments
Most transactions on LocalDoIt are cash-based. We cannot reverse cash payments. Agree on exact price and scope before paying.
Off-platform bookings
If you arrange a service outside LocalDoIt, we have no record and cannot mediate.
Provider employment
Providers are independent professionals, not employees. LocalDoIt facilitates the connection and accountability, but does not control how services are performed.

- Choose providers with higher verification levels for higher-value services
- Read recent reviews, especially for your specific service type
- For first-time bookings with a new provider, meet in a public place
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if a provider doesn't show up?â–¾
Report the no-show through your booking page within 24 hours. We'll reach out to the provider and, if confirmed, flag their account. Repeat no-shows result in suspension.
Can I get a refund for a cash payment?â–¾
LocalDoIt cannot reverse cash payments — that's between you and the provider. However, we can mediate, apply account penalties to the provider, and help you resolve the dispute. For this reason, we recommend agreeing on price and scope before paying.
What if the service quality was poor?â–¾
File a dispute within 48 hours of service completion. Include photos if possible. Our mediation team reviews both sides and takes action — from a warning to provider suspension.
Are providers employees of LocalDoIt?â–¾
No. Providers are independent professionals. LocalDoIt is a marketplace that connects you with them, verifies their identity, and holds them accountable through our review and mediation system.
How does mediation work?â–¾
Both parties describe the issue. Our team reviews the evidence (messages, photos, booking details) and proposes a resolution within 48 hours. If the provider is at fault, we take action on their account.
What if I feel unsafe during a booking?â–¾
Your safety comes first. Leave the situation immediately. Contact local emergency services, then report to us via the Safety Center or email safety@localdoit.com. We take safety reports with highest priority.
